In Lund cathedral there stands the famous astronomical clock. Built at the end of the 14th century, it stands as a testament to the skills of the medieval clock maker. This talk explains the clock and especially the four astronomers who stand around the upper half. Their identity has been a point of contention for the last hundred years but it is sure that two of them are Muslim scientists. This talk will explore the identity of these scientists and the mystery of why they stand in the middle of one of the holiest cathedrals in Scandinavia.
